Vale have improved since Jon Brady replaced Darren Moore in January but it hasn’t been enough to prevent what now seems an inevitable relegation just 12 months after promotion.
They’ve been good at home under Brady, losing just one of the last eight at Vale Park, a run that includes FA Cup wins over Bristol City and Sunderland.
Predicting a team is tough for this one because Vale also play at Peterborough on Thursday as they squeeze in their final seven fixtures over 19 days.
KEY PLAYER – George Hall
Vale recruited the 21-year-old attacking midfielder in August as they reinvested some of the £1million plus they received from Plymouth for striker Lorent Tolaj.
Hall’s final ball needs improving but he’s quick, direct and his willingness to get at defenders has had supporters off their seats. He did well on the right wing in last week’s win over Rotherham.
