BARNSLEY artist Adam Briscoe admits it was a special moment seeing his design on show at Oakwell at the weekend.

Adam specialises in hand-drawn architectural art and has risen in popularity in recent years.

His previous works include a mural revealed last year at the Glass Works, which celebrates the past and present of Barnsley.

He has also completed eye-catching work at Barnsley Football Club and Worsbrough Mill, both of which have been praised highly.

And as part of the Barnsley FC Community Trust’s takeover day at Oakwell on Saturday, he saw his artwork on front of the programme and on shirts donned by the players before the match.

He said: “I’m so proud to have been commissioned to create the t-shirts and programme front cover for Barnsley FC Community Trust takeover day.

“Seeing the Barnsley Football Club players out there warming up in my designs was such an incredible moment and something I won’t forget anytime soon.

“The atmosphere, both for the takeover day and the match, was absolutely electric.

“Following an incredible response, the t-shirts will be available to purchase soon through the trust, with all proceeds going directly back into supporting the amazing work they do.”
