MEMBERS of the Men in Sheds group have created toothbrushes fit for a giant in a bid to get youngsters brushing their teeth.
The group were invited to collaborate with Barnsley Family Hubs to create jumbo-sized wooden toothbrushes as part of a campaign display at Barnsley Market, offering advice and support to families.
And they went above and beyond, even making a huge wooden toothpaste tube as part of the project.
A spokesperson for Age UK Barnsley told the Chronicle: “The aim of the display is to be interactive and encourage families to engage with important health and development topics, highlighting the importance of brushing teeth in a fun and eye-catching way.
“The Shedders love collaborating and taking on commissions from the local community.
“They’ve previously built a bridge for a local farm pond and restored preloved dressers and dining table sets, giving items a new lease of life.
“All the wood they use to bring their projects to life is repurposed pallet wood.”
