CHILDREN from two local primary schools met a special visitor at Base71 as CBeebies’ popular gardener Mr Bloom was in town.

Youngsters at Burton Road Primary School and St Mary’s C of E Primary School attended the event which aimed to champion children’s health and wellbeing through interactive education and physical activity.

In collaboration with Cool Milk, Mr Bloom brought his signature charm to the stage with an animated performance, teaching students the building blocks of a perfect morning - a nutritious breakfast, active play, and the importance of oral hygiene.

Mandy Carlson, Base71’s CEO, said: “It was a joy to see the children so engaged with the importance of oral hygiene, nutrition, and staying active.

“We are hugely grateful to Mr Bloom and the Cool Milk team for choosing Base71 to host this event.

“We truly hope the young people carry these healthy habits with them for years to come.”
