A screamer from Craig Davies in the second half gave Barnsley a valuable point at Bolton.

Kevin Davies had given the hosts the lead in the first half after some poor defending from Scott Wiseman. Wanderers then had a series of chances to double their advantage but failed to take advantage of some shaky Barnsley defending.

The Reds had played well in the first 20 minutes and gone close through long range strikes from Davies and new signing Marcus Tudgay.

After the break it was much more even and Davies' strike on 66 minutes flung in off the post much to the delight of the visiting supporters.

Barnsley could have won it late on when Tudgay's effort was cleared off the line by Matt Mills.
