A FESTIVAL in Green Moor is set to return for its second year - and organisers have said it will be even ‘bigger and better’.
Green Fest came about after Hunshelf parishioners were asked what organised activities they wanted to see within the parish.
Hunshelf Events and Activities Team (Team HEAT), made up of local residents, was set up to organise events and activities - and Green Fest was born from there.
The day festival on June 28 is held at Green Moor Cricket Club and is preceded the week before by a scarecrow trail competition, where this year's theme is ‘ICONS’ - results of which will be judged at the fair.
A spokesperson said: “There will be a variety of stalls to purchase gifts, treats and art at our Makers’ Market.
“We’re also welcoming craft workshops and plenty of games, as well as circus skills, dog shows, a tug of war competition, birds of prey, vintage cars, tractors and the fire service.
“There’s so much to see and do, and we’d like to see you there.
“So bring the family, friends, your pooch, a picnic blanket and join us for Green Fest.”
