WEST Bretton won for the first time since their move to the South Yorkshire League from the Pontefract League.
They chased 258 for a three-wicket win off the final ball at Frickley in Division One. Kyle Clayton took five wickets then scored the winning runs after George Naylor made 84.
Second-placed Wath chased 229 for a four-wicket win at Whitley Hall. Syed Shah took three wickets then Jason van Dyk hit 76 off 48 balls with six sixes in an opening stand of 105 with Isaac Wainwright who made 58. Mikey Denton secured the win with 51 off 46 balls.
Houghton Main were dismissed for 105 in a five-wicket loss at home to Warmsworth. Teriq Worrell took three wickets.
Monk Bretton were bowled out for 95 chasing 185 at Cawthorne 2nd XI.
Kade Fletcher made 56 for Cawthorne then took five wickets.
Steve Honeyman and Craig Heppenstall took three wickets each for the Monks.
Second-placed Penistone dismissed Hallam 2nd XI for 130 in an eight-wicket win in Division Two.
There were three wickets each for Sam Askey and Charlie Armitage who then carried his bat with 70 not out.
Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI bowled Aston Hall 2nd XI out for 117 in an eight-wicket win. Ethan Shillito took four wickets.
Elsecar 2nd XI removed Hatfield for 106 in a two-wicket win. George Dixon took four for nine with Callum Johnson claiming four catches.
Darfield won at home to Higham in Division Three. Campbell Wroe (67) led Darfield to 215 then Higham were bowled out for 159 despite Ryan Bagshaw’s 53.
Ryan Howarth took six wickets for Higham then Charlie Potter three for Darfield.
Worsbrough Bridge bowled Wath 2nd XI out for 38 defending 153.
Bridge were 26 for six then Richard Taylor hit 76 as Yousuf Ghani took four wickets for Wath.
Worsbrough’s Shoaib Yousuf took six wickets and Liam Hague three.
Rockingham 2nd XI chased 140 for a four-wicket win at Sheffield United.
Andy Shore scored 59.
Kexborough won by 16 runs at Pledwick in Division Four after posting 130. Suthaharan Nadesapillai took four wickets and Matty Bowering three.
Dairen Hirst-Spalding scored 51 but Barnsley Woolley 3rd XI fell 44 runs short chasing 223 at Doncaster 3rd XI.
Leaders Wombwell Main removed Hallam 3rd XI for 57 in a nine-wicket Division Five win.
Mark Mustill-Hope took four wickets.
Silkstone United were all out for 83 in a seven-wicket loss at Waverley.
Sam Lee made 63 not out but Penistone 2nd XI were bowled out for 202 in a final ball three-wicket loss at Hadfield.
Green Moor defended 138 by bowling Whiston 2nd XI for 74 in Division Six.
Scott Jones made 67 then Satinderpal Singh took five for nine.
Green Moor then won at Wadworth in the President’s Trophy. Rakesh Kumar made 66 off 46 balls in their 215 then Singh took four wickets to restrict the hosts to 149.
Dearne were out for 102 in a ten-wicket loss at Kexborough 2nd XI in Division Nine North. Ben Whitehouse scored 50 for Dearne with Kexborough’s Neil Hinchliffe taking five for nine.
Scott Shillito made 59 not out.
