BENJAMIN Smith, from Wath, has joined top flight rugby union club Exeter Chiefs.
The 17-year-old tighthead prop has been playing for Yorkshire Academy while he has also represented England at under 18 level.
He has signed a ‘senior academy deal’ with the Devon club.
Benjamin’s twin brother Samuel is also a rugby player and is thought to have interest from professional clubs.
Wath Academy pupil Benjamin has been tipped for an international future by his coach Ryan Burrows who played in the top flight.
