LOCALS are being encouraged to have their say on crime and antisocial behaviour through the council’s annual community safety survey.

The Safer Barnsley Partnership is Barnsley’s community safety partnership and is made up of a wide range of organisations that work together to keep our communities safe.

They respond to the challenges you face and focus on making Barnsley a safe place to live, work, study and visit.

The survey provides an opportunity to offer your views and feedback on a wide range of issues and concerns.

Councillor Paul Kelly, cabinet spokesperson for environment, transport and communities, said: “I would strongly urge anyone who lives, works in or visits Barnsley to take part in our annual survey and have their say on crime and antisocial behaviour in Barnsley.

“Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand the challenges you face so we can get a full picture of what you are experiencing.

“The Safer Barnsley Partnership can then build resources and plans that tackle the local issues you face, whilst informing and shaping future priorities.

“Everyone deserves to feel safe in our borough, and by working together we can achieve this.”
