Barnsley Woolley Miners won at home to Aston Hall in the South Yorkshire Championship thanks to another century from star batter Ali Zaryab.

He hit 125 off 124 balls with ten fours and two sixes in second-placed Barnsley’s 277.

The visitors fell 68 short with Zarmash Tarakhil taking three wickets.

Third-placed Elsecar fell 15 runs short chasing 205 at home to Tickhill 2nd XI.

Musa Altaf took four wickets then Callum Higgins scored 50.

Rockingham chased 186 for a nine-wicket win at home to Sheffield Collegiate 2nd XI. Paul Cummins took five wickets then carried his bat with 65 not out. Ben Dalton added 72 for Rock who collected their second win of the season. They are bottom, 23 points adrift of safety.
