JASON van Dyk continued his impressive form for promotion-chasing Wath in a Division One win at West Bretton.
The South African carried his bat with 102 not out off 62 balls with 12 fours and six sixes as Wath chased 144 for a nine-wicket win. It was a third century in four games for van Dyk who is the second top-scorer in the division behind team-mate Syed Shah. Earlier, Jay Smith took four wickets and Rob Barlow three while Bretton’s Ben Summers scored 66.
Wath stay second, 37 points clear in the promotion places, while West Bretton are in the relegation zone.
Houghton Main bowled out Monk Bretton for 122 in a five-wicket win.
Teriq Worrell took four wickets and Zain Maqsood three then Abdul-Wahab Shafi scored 58. Steven Honeyman took three wickets for the Monks.
Monk Bretton won by three wickets chasing 204 at Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI in the Mick Savage Trophy.
There was an opening stand of 125 between Joshua Van Oudtshoorn (67) and Ashley Clayton (74). Houghton lost by four wickets at Frickley having posted 213. Waris Abbas made 50.
Penistone chased 135 for a six-wicket home win over Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI in Division Two. Jack Meek and Chris Walmsley took three wickets each for Penistone with Andrew Clayton making 50 for Barnsley.
Elsecar 2nd XI’s 246 was not enough in a three-wicket loss at Aston Hall 2nd XI.
Joseph Kemp made 85 then Richard Stump took five wickets.
Darfield chased 163 for a four-wicket win over Frecheville in Division Three.
Saman Khursheed took seven wickets then Ashley Potter (68) and Brooklyn Whitmill (52) secured the win. The result meant third-placed Darfield are now just two points behind Frecheville who are in the second promotion place.
Worsbrough Bridge fell 128 runs short chasing 272 at Sheffield United.
Ryan Mann took three wickets.
Higham chased 117 for a nine-wicket win at Wath 2nd XI. Gareth Kilburn took five wickets.
Kexborough won by 112 runs at Whiston Forge in Division Four.
Ulaganathan Sayanthan (58) and Danny Bowering (50) led Kexborough to 271 then Suthaharan Nadesapillai and Thava Niganthan took three wickets each.
Ben Patfield scored 52 but Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rd XI’s 163 was not enough in a seven-wicket loss at Treeton.
Wombwell Main won by eight wickets at Millhouses Works 2nd XI in Division Five. Jonathan Scaife took seven wickets to bowl the hosts out for 136 then made 67 not out.
Silkstone were out for 113 as they lost by five wickets to Penistone 2nd XI.
Green Moor defended 129 by bowling hosts Conisbrough 2nd XI out for 105 in Division Six. Satinderpal Singh took four wickets.
Dearne chased 131 for a three-wicket win at Wath 3rd XI in Division Nine North. Malcolm Day took six for 32 then Nick Petty scored 54 not out.
