TV star Katherine Kelly will return to television screens next weekend for the period drama Mr Selfridge.
Katherine, who played Becky McDonald in Coronation Street, plays aristocrat Lady Mae in the show about American entrepreneur Harry Selfridge, founder of Selfridges department store.
Katherine, 32, said: "Lady Mae was the complete opposite of Becky. If no one has seen me in anything except Coronation Street, they are going to be surprised.
"It's by the makers of Downton Abbey so it's pretty special.
"It's set in 1909 and is about Selfridges and Harry Selfridge, who is a bit of a Lord Alan Sugar type.
"He comes to my character because I've got the funds and the biggest and best ideas."
Katherine said it was 'fabulous' to wear the Edwardian dresses.
"I was in hair and make-up for about two hours. In fact, on one occasion me and the make-up artists counted the number of clips used to pin up my hair. We stopped counting when we got to 100."
The show is on ITV and starts on January 6 at 9pm.
