MEET Roxy - the winner of the Chronicle’s Dandy Dog competition 2006.
The blue roan Cocker Spaniel lives in Thurnscoe with her owners Pete and Marie Beckett, and walks off with a bumper pack of prizes.
Pete, who works for Neighbourhood Pride, said they were delighted to have won. “We were surprised when we found out. Like many other people, we only entered for a bit of fun.
“Roxy is a fantastic - she prefers to drink water out of a watering can rather than her dish and her favourite toy is a plastic squeaky hippo.”
Roxy was declared the winner after two frenetic weeks of voting, following judging to reduce the incredible 700 plus entrants to a final 30.
