Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones underestimated Barnsley by allowing striker Chris O'Grady to join the Reds on loan, according to David Flitcroft.
O'Grady, who isn't eligable to play tomorrow, has impressed since signing for Barnsley last month and Jones has been criticised for allowing him to join Wednesday's relegation rivals.
Flitcroft told the Chronicle: "When we got Chris, Sheffield Wednesday probably thought we were dead and buried. But they didn't know our dressing room and what we could achieve. We've shown what we can do and how much we can fight and Chris has been a massive part of that.
"Chris feels a connection with Barnsley and the fans here and he's the ultimate professional. It's a shame he can't play but we've missed other players before and still got results."
