SEVERAL town centre roads will be closed tonight to allow a series of high speed cycle races to take place - which starts and finishes outside the town hall.
The closures - which will take place from 5.30pm to 10pm will affect Church Street, St Mary's Gate, Regent Street, Eastgate, Royal Street, Eldon Street, Kendray Street, Market Hill, Market Street, Wellington Street, Georges Yard, Hanson Street, Regent Street South, Shambles Street , Peel Square, County Way, Queen Street, Mayday Green, Cheapside, Peel Street, Castlereagh Street, Pall Mall, Hayes Croft, Albert Street, Burlington Arcade, Peel Parade, Grahams Orchard, Fenton Street.
Taxi ranks will be temporarily moved to Schwabisch Gmund Way after 5.45pm and Wellington Street after the football match.
The event is being organised by the Barnsley based charity cycling team, Team Cystic Fibrosis.
