A LITTLE boy who lives with a rare, life limiting disorder is fighting to raise money so that he and other poorly children can regularly visit the seaside.
Jake Blatch, seven, suffers from the condition Diamond-Blackfan anaemia (DBA) which is a disorder of the bone marrow.
After three operations this year, Jake, who attends Greenfield Primary in Hoyland, was offered a treat by his mum Claire.
Kind-hearted Jake, of Allott Crescent, Jump, wanted something that wasn't just for himself - a caravan so that families with poorly children could have breaks at the seaside.
Jake's family applied to Lloyds Bank's national community fund project to buy a caravan- they're up against three other causes.
People can vote for Jake's cause by visiting the Lloyds Bank Community Fund website.
Voting ends on October 10 and the winners will be announced in early November.
