FANS of local X Factor hopefuls Abby Eades and Jack Walton will find out this weekend whether they have made it past judges' houses and onto the live finals.

Abby Eades, 18, started out as a solo singer in the competition, but last weekend viewers saw her at bootcamp being put into a newly-created girl band.

Now her family and friends are hoping Abby and her band can progress past judges' houses and become a female One Direction.

The five-piece band was so new at bootcamp that it still did not have a name when televised last weekend.

Meanwhile 18-year-old Jack, who has been performing regularly at the Elephant and Castle pub in Hemingfield for the past four years, will be seen in Mexico singing to impress mentor for the boys Mel B who will be joined by her fellow Spice Girl Emma Bunton.
