BEAUTY queen Sammy Milewski is making a remarkable recovery just weeks after she cheated death in a horrific road accident.

And the pretty model is hoping to be back on the catwalk in a couple of months' time.

Sammy was knocked over by a van in Germany just before Christmas - the day before she was due to compete in the Queen of the World competition. She broke both legs, fractured an arm and suffered serious facial injuries.

Doctors said her battered face could take a year to heal but weeks later it is back to normal.

Sammy, who won a bikini contest in Barnsley last year, is on her feet again and hopes to get more good news when she goes for an X-ray next week.

"The swelling on my face has gone down totally and the scars have healed brilliantly. You can't even tell when I put a bit of make-up on.

"One of my legs was pinned and I have to go for another X-ray to see if my bone is going back together.

"If not they will have to operate again but walking is okay so I hope it's fine."

If that's the case Sammy, 21, will go back to Germany to take part in a fashion show.

She said: "If I can walk I would be prepared to do it because it is what I want to do and I want to get back as soon as possible.

"There is a world bikini competition in June so I'm hoping I will be a lot better by then. I guess I am lucky to be getting back to normal so quickly."
