YOU could be forgiven for thinking you had walked into a five star hotel when visiting Ward Green Lodge.
The new 64-bed residential home on High Ridge, off Vernon Road, boasts a hairdressing salon, cafe, state-of-the-art kitchen, en suite wet rooms and sensory gardens.
There is also a large room which can be used by residents in their final days with space for their family to stay and a room to accommodate a couple who want to live together.
The new building stands on the site of the Ward Green Infant School which has been relocated across the road.
The home was built by Ideal Care Homes and sold to Britto Healthcare for about £4.8m.
