HOUSE prices in Silkstone Common received a boost this week, estate agents say, when the village school was named one of the best in the country.
Silkstone Common Junior and Infants School was named number 11 in the Sunday Times top 200 state primary schools on Sunday, based on results in English, maths and science.
It is the top school in Yorkshire and the only Barnsley school in the list.
