A WOMBWELL scout group has had its Christmas fundraising money taken after their hut was broken into.
The scout hut, on Wainwright Place, was broken into through the back door last Thursday night.
Mark Turton, scout leader for the Ninth Wombwell Scout Group, said: "The back door was forced and the padlocks on the cupboards were broken. They took about £50 from our Christmas raffle that we had raised for repairs or scouting.
"It's not a great deal but it was to us."
