SAFETY bollards at a primary school have been put outside the wrong entrance which children don't use, parents say.
The bollards put up outside Shafton Primary Academy were, according to a statement from the council in the Chronicle last week, to 'give pupils a safe walkway from the building entrance to the location of the school crossing patrol officer'.
But angry parents contacted the Chronicle this week to say they've been put where children don't even cross the road.
Coun Roy Miller said: "As part of the redevelopment of the building, the school placed bollards at the main entrance.
"We understand the school has now changed its plans. We will be in discussion with the school regarding their new plans, with the view to possibly moving the bollards to cover another entrance."
