BOOK-LOVERS are fed up of waiting for Dodworth library’s opening hours to be extended - even though the council promised it would happen more than a year ago. Dodworth Library opens 14 hours per week, but the council has long planned to extend this to 32. A member of Dodworth Reading Group, who did not wish to be named, said: “They’ve just reneged on that promise time after time after time. “First it was pushed on to August, then it was going to be the first of January, and it’s still only open 14 hours. “We were all excited and everybody was disappointed when nothing happened. We were disheartened.”
