A MAN allegedly asked two women to get into his car in exchange for money.
Police said a man thought to be driving a Vauxhall Vectra was seen acting suspiciously in the Lindhurst Road and Egmanton Road areas of Athersley North, at about 5.15pm last Wednesday, and again at about 4pm last Tuesday.
One woman claimed he asked for 'sexual favours' in return for cash and another said he asked for directions before allegedly offering her money to get in the car.
A police spokeswoman said: "It is believed that he may have approached pedestrians in the area and officers would like to ask anyone who has seen this suspicious behaviour to come forward with information.
"If you are in doubt about the behaviour of someone driving in the area, or believe you have information that could assist with our enquiries, please call 101, quoting incident number 746 of February 4."
