CAN any of our readers identify this delightful little blond-haired boy who was photographed outside a Wombwell church?
Chronicle reader Iris wildblood was taking a shortcut through the unidentified church's grounds around 1988/89 when she saw the little boy who was dressed up in hat and tails. It appears he was a pageboy at a wedding.
"I believe he must have briefly come out of the church and I told him he looked very smart.
"When I asked him what he was doing he said he was waiting for his photograph to be taken.
"I had my camera with me as I was researching my family tree at the time and I told him I would take his photograph.
"The photograph has been in my possession ever since and I have never wanted to throw it away."
The boy will now be over 20 but perhaps someone will recognise him, or maybe he will recognise himself. Information to Kath Parkin, editorial@barnsley-chronicle.co.uk
