Barnsley's new head coach Lee Johnson has made teenage left-back Declan John and veteran striker Jabo Ibehre his first signings, with them both joining on loan until the end of the season.
Cardiff's John, 19, has two international caps for Wales and played 20 times for the Bluebirds in the Premier League last season. He has made ten appearances for Cardiff but not since January 17.
Ibehre, 32, joins from Barnsley's League One rivals Colchester United and reuintes with Johnson for whom he scored twice in 12 games while on loan at Oldham from October until January this season.
The Londoner began his career at Leyton Orient for where he played nearly 250 matches before moving onto tomorrow's opponents Walsall, MK Dons, Southend, Stockport and now Colchester.
He has 91 career goals in more than 500 games.
