A WALKER had a shock when she spotted fishing wire tied taut across a path - at neck and ankle height.
Angela Pressland, 36, from Low Valley, was walking her dog along the path next to the river, coming from Pitt Street and near Netherwood ALC, when she noticed eight different pieces of fishing wire wound tightly around the trees and across her way, at different heights.
She said: "I think it is children who think its funny who don't understand the danger of it - like if a cyclist hit it at speed."
