THE demolition of the former Carpet World near Barnsley Market is scheduled to start at the end of this month.
Demolition contractor Hague's will flatten the site before moving on to the Central Offices, the TEC building and multi-storey car park as part of the £50m Better Contractors met with representatives from Network Rail and engineers from Barnsley Council to discuss the proposed plans for the demolition works.
The majority of the work is near to the railway line which is managed by Network Rail.
