The Barnsley and District Ladies Pool League is facing closure because of a dwindling number of teams.
Member Sandy Lemondine said since it started about 35 years ago, the number of teams has dropped from 22 to just seven.
She has played pool for more than 20 years and believes it is partly due to pubs closing and members getting older.
Sandy, 60, of Park Avenue, Barnsley, added: "There aren't as many as there used to be and I think people have got older - we've got some members in their 60s and 70s but we need to get more younger people involved in the game."
Anyone interested should contact Sandy on 246760 or Mob 07758 235344.
