THE FRIENDS of Monk Bretton Park are holding looking for ideas to start regenerating the area.

The group is holding a consultation day next week and inviting residents in to tell them how they would like to see the park improved.

An application for money will be made soon and specific plans need to be put forward.

Group founder and Monk Bretton Fair Share worker Ruth Bullivant-Layton said it was important to find out what people thought.

“We want the people of the community to come forward and see what they would like to happen in the park, and we want as many people to come forward as possible.

“We want to know about the history they would like preserving and what they would like to see happen.”

The day is on Monday in Monk Bretton Library from 2pm to 7pm.
