Experienced goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has left Barnsley to join Leeds United.

Turnbull, 30, who signed last summer after leaving Doncaster Rovers, has signed for the Championship side on a free transfer and has penned a two-year-deal.

The former Chelsea stopper struggled with injuries last season but that helped the development of Adam Davies who is now viewed as Lee Johnson's number one.

Turnbull made 22 League One appearances in his third spell with The Reds. He had previously spent two loan spells at Oakwell.
