MEASURES to stop travellers using a site near a school are to be introduced later this month.
A trench and bollards will be put in place near Netherwood ALC, Wombwell, to stop the frequent traveller encampments.
Coun Pauline Markham said: "It has been taking longer and longer to get the travellers off, they are not going when the council serves them notice so the council has to put in for a court order.
"We are hoping this will stop the merry-go-round of sites with the travellers moving from one to another."
