A DAD whose son has been excluded 45 times including for reasons such as 'swinging on two legs of his chair' says the number of exclusions at his son's school is 'out of control'.
Mark Baker says his son Ryan has been sent home from Carlton Community College for behaviour including not sitting properly and falling asleep in school when he was on medication known to make him drowsy.
"My son's been excluded 45 times in the last nine months for some absolutely stupid things," he said.
The Chronicle asked Carlton Community College to explain why so many pupils were being excluded and whether its stance on behaviour was working, but the school declined to comment on these issues.
