A MEMORIAL to a woman killed in a car accident on a 'treacherous' road has gone missing after another accident damaged it last weekend.
The crash occurred on the site on Moor Lane where Tracey Atkinson's daughter, Melissa Braden, 20, was killed in February 2011.
Tracey and Melissa's car slid on black ice and was struck by a 40-tonne articulated lorry. Tracey was critically injured in the smash.
Tracey's brother, Kev Mitcham, 46, from Brook Close, Grimethorpe, built a memorial at the site where Melissa was killed. But it has vanished.
