A BARNSLEY bus company has been called before a public inquiry following persistent complaints about the quality of the services it operates.
Tates Travel, based at Whaley Road, Barugh Green, operates about 40 routes, including services to Worsbrough, Gilroyd, Kexborough and several in the rural communities around Penistone.
But the company has been dogged with complaints about large numbers of services which do not run, or have vehicles which break down frequently while in use.
The Traffic Commissioner, responsible for bus companies licences which allow them to trade, will hold a public inquiry in October.
