THESE striking gates at the entrance to Hoyland market are going to be re-sited at a new entrance to Elsecar Park to improve safety.
Coun Robin Franklin said: “Where we’re putting them will be the best place for them. Putting the gates into the wall straight across from the heritage centre car park will ensure a safer crossing.
“This development recycles the gates, and makes a safer entrance. We’re also going to try and impose speed restrictions on the road and put a multi-games playground in the park.”
