EXTRA CCTV cameras will be installed at two of the town’s top attractions.
Barnsley Council said a security review recommended additional cameras at the Cooper Gallery to cover the new extension due to open in March, and also for the temporary exhibition space at Cannon Hall to provide cover for the new De Morgan Collection to be loaned to the former stately home.
The extra cameras for the Cooper extension will cost £1,821.29 and £2,937 for the temporary exhibition space at Cannon Hall. A further £1,623 will be spent upgrade hard disc capacity for the security cameras.
This will be done by Centurion, which already provides the council’s CCTV and installed the existing cameras already in place at the town’s cultural attractions.
