A WALKING group will celebrate the date of its 20th anniversary this week but the celebrations will run throughout the year.
Dearne Valley Ramblers formed 20 years ago this week and have done many, many miles since.
One of the founding members Paul Smeaton said: “There are only three founding members left in the group - me, my wife Carol and Pauline Gibbons.
“We are a good, friendly group, and have attracted members from Doncaster, down south, Sheffield, even someone who lives in Belgium.
“I’ve taken parties to France walking, trips to Spain and Derbyshire.”
