IT rained for the first few days of Brian Smailes walk.
But that did not deter, or slow down the 64-year-old who has started a charity walk from Lands End to John O’Groats, to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Brian, of Earlsmere Drive, Ardsley, is tackling the off road route from one end of the country to the other which is around 1,000 miles.
Brian is aiming to complete the charity walk/run in 27 days which will mean he will have to walk/jog more than 34 miles every day.
