Paul Heckingbottom has warned that Peterborough are playing better now that they have nothing left to play for.
Barnsley host The Posh on Tuesday evening and Heckingbottom says the mid-table side will be dangerous following a 4-1 win over Colchester United on Saturday.
Barnsley, who are now just two points off the play-off places, can heap more pressure on those above with a win but Heckingbottom feels Peterborough will be coming for three points.
He said: "All of a sudden the shackles are off and they're scoring for fun again.
"That's the kind of team they are. They play without fear and now they see themselves out of the race they are a more dangerous team.
"It's going to be an entertaining game regardless. They will cause us problems but I think we can cause them problems too. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of goals in it."
Barnsley are expected to be without full-backs George Smith, Aidy White and James Bree for the game. Marley Watkins is out for the season with a jaw injury.
