HE took the High Road and he took the Low Road and Brian Smailes was in Scotland much sooner than he ever anticipated.
Long distance walker Brian took just 26 days, nine hours and 15 minutes to walk 910 miles from Land’s End to John O Groats.
And that was despite everything the Scottish weather could throw at him.
Brian, 64, of Earlsmere Drive, Ardsley, set himself the challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
