THERE are growing fears that a Wath beauty spot is being spoiled by yobs firing air rifles and illegal bikers churning up woodland.
Last week four air rifles were confiscated from youngsters in the area close to Wathwood whilst there are also problems in the wood itself with illegal bikers.
PCSO Neil Entwistle confirmed that the firearms had been confiscated in that area at the Area Assembly on Monday night.
Those responsible are being processed and face receiving ABCs (acceptable behaviour contracts) and their weapons have now been destroyed.
A police statement confirmed the incident.
