AN event will be held at Barnsley town hall on Monday to mark the start of Barnsley’s safeguarding awareness week Ð the first of its kind in South Yorkshire.
With the theme ‘safeguarding is everybody’s business’, the week will be officially launched by Dr Alan Billings, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
Dr Billings will also give a talk on the unique challenges of the South Yorkshire region from his perspective.
