A SKATE park and play area at Lundwood is to be kitted out with solar lighting to combat youth nuisance issues.
Council boss Coun Roy Miller has approved a decision to allocate £3,000 of section 106 money - cash set aside by a developer as part of legal agreement to benefit the community - to provide solar lighting at Littleworth Lane park at Lundwood.
The cash has come from Gleeson Homes, the developer of a new 97-home estate at Elwood off Wilson Grove in Lundwood. It was set set aside with the strict condition it would be used to provide, or improve, public open space in the immediate or surrounding area.
