BUS operator Stagecoach Yorkshire has increased capacity on a Barnsley route used a million times last year to cater for growing demand.
Stagecoach has introduced bigger buses on services 57 and 59 which operate between Barnsley, Monk Bretton, Carlton, Royston and Wakefield.
Double decker vehicles replace the current single deckers on most journeys, boosting capacity after the operator saw growth of two per cent over the last year on the route. Stagecoach says more than 1m passenger journeys were made on the services last year.
