A FUND-RAISING concert featuring classic rockers Fireheart takes place on Sunday in memory of a footballer who died after collapsing on the pitch.
Rock 4 Dan, in aid of the Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, is being held at live music venue The Underground, off Shambles Street, on Sunday from 3pm.
Daniel, a centre back, died on September 12 after collapsing on the pitch while playing for Shaw Lane AFC in the team’s Evo-Stik League Cup clash against Brighouse Town.
It is free entry but donations can be made on the door.
