A PHOTOGRAPH showing a Barnsley mum and her children in their swimming costumes taken at the Metrodome without their knowledge has landed bosses of the leisure centre in hot water.

The offending photograph featured on the front page of Barnsley Premier Leisure’s promotional magazine Involved, distributed free at BPL venues, and was also published on its website.

A spokesman for Barnsley Premier Leisure said: “The latest issue of BPL’s Involved Magazine featured a photograph of our annual summer pool party.

“Before and during the event we advertised heavily throughout the centre with signs and posters that images may be taken and used for publication purposes.

“We have since spoken to a customer who attended the event that was not aware of the posters and notices warning her of this on the day and was embarrassed by the photo we included.

“We have since removed all copies of the magazine from BPL venues.”
