BARNSLEY Hospital has been shortlisted for an award for introducing a smart phone application which allows nursing staff to inspect wards from a handheld device.
The hospital is in the ‘the use of information technology to drive value in clinical services’ category of the Health Service Journal’s Value in Health Care awards for its app ‘Perfect Ward’.
The awards recognise and reward outstanding efficiency and improvement by the NHS.
