A WOMAN who was told a lump in her breast was nothing to worry about has been given a terminal diagnosis after cancer spread to her lungs.

Kellee Harvey, 27, was given the devastating terminal diagnosis last month when she went for a CT scan.

Kellee was referred to Barnsley Hospital when she discovered a lump in her breast in February last year but was told it wasn’t cancerous after having an ultrasound, and she was discharged.

But less than three months later, after it grew and was painful, she went back to the hospital and the same consultant offered a biopsy which showed the lump was cancerous.

Now, despite having a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy she has been told her cancer has spread to her lungs and she is terminally ill.

Kellee, of Aldham House Lane, Wombwell, said: “I feel so let down by the system. How have they got that wrong? I don’t understand how they have managed to make such a big mistake and how they got it so wrong.”
