IT'S a long way from Oakwell but Toby Tyke still managed to bump into two Barnsley fans at the World Cup.

Toby is in Germany entertaining supporters after being chosen as a mascot for tournament sponsors Coca Cola.

Sat behind him at England's first game against Paraguay were two lads from Cudworth and Darfield proudly displaying a Toby Tyke flag.

Alongside Birmingham City's mascot Beau Brummie, Toby is travelling around Germany trying to persuade fans to take part in fun street challenges.

Ahead of yesterday's game with Trinidad and Tobago they were hoping to gather a group of England supporters willing to do the Peter Crouch robot dance.

Toby said: "We are baking in the Bavarian sun, having a hoot. It has been a right laugh. The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant and fans have been fantastic. The tournament is so well organised. The Germans just know how to do these things well."
